Bio Zera Mustafaieva
Biographical Statement
Zera Mustafaieva is a Mr. and Research Scholar at Purdue University’s Brian Lamb School of Communication, where she works with Dr. Stacey Connaughton on strategic communication and indigenous rights. As President of the Crimean Tatar Foundation USA, she leads initiatives on indigenous peoples’ rights and cultural preservation. Her research focuses on decolonial studies, media representation, and indigenous rights advocacy. She has presented at the UN Forum, U.S. Congress, and multiple academic institutions. Mustafaieva has developed the “Crimea Speaks” digital archive and leads cross-cultural research projects examining indigenous peoples’ rights in occupied territories.
